This month, our team is recognizing Paula for her exceptional contributions. She has demonstrated herself to be an asset through her commitment to teamwork and her adaptability to new programs. Let's get to know who she is outside of work!

What do you do for Elite?

Whatever is needed. šŸ˜Š Officially, I work in the accounting department, helping our clients with their statements or anything else they may need.

What motivates you to work hard?

Spreadsheets lol ā€“ once I get going in a spreadsheet, watch out. šŸ˜œ
Truthfully though, my main motivation comes from the clients ā€“ I love being there for a-ha moments, holding their hand through rough spots, and being their biggest cheerleader when things go right.

Do you have any hobbies?

I really enjoy bike-riding, and get out there whenever I can!

What is something youā€™ve always wanted to do but havenā€™t tried yet?

There is always some place new to travel, and Iā€™ll never get tired of seeing new places and interacting with new cultures.

What is something you will absolutely never eat?

ā€œThings I wonā€™t eatā€ is a super short list ā€“ I like almost everything, and would try almost anythingā€¦ but if Iā€™m ever in the Philippines, I think balut would stop me in my tracks.
And no, Iā€™m not going to explain it, and no, you probably shouldnā€™t look it upā€¦ at least not before lunch. šŸ‘€

What is your favorite way to unwind?

Sleep! Iā€™m lucky enough to be able to do it almost anywhere, and thatā€™s not lost on me because I know how hard it is for so many people.

What is your favorite family tradition?

My family are avid dominoes players ā€“ my grandmother was a math teacher, so there was no excuse!

If money were no object, how would you spend your time?

Hands down it would be travel ā€“ anywhere, everywhere, for as long as possible.

What was your first job?

Iā€™ve been working ever since I can remember, but my first ā€œbig girlā€ job was at Publixā€¦ I was there for 20 years!

What is your favorite place youā€™ve traveled to?

Italy will probably always take that top spot ā€“ there's so much to love and so very little not to!

Would you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?

My social timer runs out quickly, but while itā€™s on, I definitely fall on the side of extroversion.

What is your favorite holiday?

I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever stop liking to dress up for Halloween ā€“ my very first week at Elite was Spirit Week, and I remember thinking I was going to be soooo pissed if I dressed up as an 80ā€™s exercise fanatic on my first day at a new job and no one else was dressed up!! Luckily Eliteā€™s Spirit Week was in full swing, and my weirdness fit right in. šŸ˜Š

What song reminds you of high school?

I was homeschooled all the way to college, so I canā€™t say that I have any ā€œtraditionalā€ high school memories, including popular songs of the era.
That said, I think that was when I started really liking The Offspring, and that has never changed, even as other music has come and gone in my life. šŸ˜Š
